For the Love of Stitching Sampler – Band 102

This is the last band of this section of the sampler. It is made up of a pattern that consists of half Eye stitch and straight stitches which make up lines of Satin stitch

The eye stitch is worked in a hand dyed cotton that is about the same thickness as perle 8. The first row of satin stitch is worked in a hand dyed wool which is about the same weight as Appletons. The next line is hand dyed silk followed by a row of hand dyed mercerised cotton. Th last row is wool.

This section of my sampler is worked on 26 count linen

Procion cold water dyes for threads that consist of natural fibre such as the cotton, wool and silk.

All samples are 15 cm (6 inches) wide and stitched together in one long band sampler.

The sampler is currently 44 ft 5 inches or 533 inches (1353.83 centimetres) or 14.8 yards (13.53 metres) long and still being added to.

This section of the sampler was worked in April 1998
