Buttons:
This is a close up detail of the buttons in the button cluster on block 12 . It is a mix of vintage and modern buttons. At the base sits a turtle. This is a charm given me which is a symbol for long life. At the time I hoped the quilt would have one!

On block 12 this cluster of buttons runs over pieces 1, 2, 5 and 6
