Stitches:
This seam is embellished with a tied herringbone stitch which has been further embellished with three detached chain stitches and a bead. This combination of stitches couches down a ribbon along the seam.
Thread:
The herring bone stitch is worked in white rayon thread and the detached chain is DMC cotton floss. The herring bone it tied with a gold metallic thread.

On block 13 this seam runs along the edge of piece 6
