For the Love of Stitching Sampler – Band 326 is a seam on a section of crazy quilting. The seam has been covered with a commercial ribbon. I liked the ruffled effect and so I decided to take advantage of it. I coverd the seam with ribbon, securing it with small basting stitches. Then, once the ribbon was secured I added detached chain stitches. Once they were worked I tucked small pearl beads into the pleats. They are a little visual treat and you would be surprised how many people want to poke their finger into the pleats and touch the beads!
