Detail:
This seam was first covered with ribbon that was couched down with herringbone stitch. I them laced it with another thread. A line of straight stitches, detached chain and cast-on stitch flowers run along the edge of the ribbon. These flowers have a bead stitched in the middle of each.
Thread:
All hand dyed cotton thread dyed by me.
Dyes:
Procion dyes was used to dye the threads
Placement on block:
This seam runs along the edge of piece 5 that is in the top right hand corner of block 27
