I guess she was removing the marker she used to mark the ring of the rose on the foundation fabric. She probably used a water dissolvable pen.
I truly enjoyed this demonstration. I have not tried ribbon embroidery and I’m very intrigued. I must find out what was being swabbed around the rose?
