These two bands are so close together, and so similar, that I am going to cover them in the same post. They sit at the top of section 27. The first is a row of double herringbone and second row is overlapped herringbone.
Thread:
The first row is worked in hand dyed wool for the first row of herringbone . The second row I threaded some metallic thread and cotton in the same needle and worked the line.
The second band of overlapped herringbone stitch is worked in 4 colours of cotton perle 5

This section of the sampler was completed in January 2008.
Size:
The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.
