For the Love of Stitching Sampler – Band 509

For the Love of Stitching Sampler – Band 509

This area is to be found on Section 33 of the For Love of Stitching band sampler.  It is another of those ‘journal’ break outs on the sampler as it records a trip I took to Christchurch, NewZealand while worrying about bad financial news.

Stitches Used:

Back stitch

Hand dyed silk thread

Hand dyed cotton

This section of the sampler was worked mid to late 2008.

The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.

  1. I'm not very good at stitching and sewing or anything that has to do with threads. But this very simple example you've provided, I'm thinking I can make this [I've made one before, with words]. It's very simple. I think the problem with mine is that I used the wrong fabric.
