Section 35 of the For Love of Stitching Band Sampler was worked in early January 2009 as part of the stitch explorer challenge that I ran that year.
I worked some traditional chicken scratch embroidery in section 34, and then in section 35, I took some of the chicken scratch stitches and experimented with them. Towards the bottom of the sampler I simply experiment.
Fabric:
Hand dyed Aida cotton
Threads:
The thread I used was hand dyed silk, wool, rayon ribbon floss, metallic yarn, hand dyed wool, hand dyed perel #5 and #8 cotton

This section of sampler was worked in early January 2009.
Size:
The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.
