Another block for my next crazy quilt the Lace quilt, is done and since it is Wednesday I am featuring it.
This block has some great vintage lace, a crochet doily which I added a few beads to. The central band of stitching that has the novelty bead butterflies is Chained Pekinese stitch which I cover in in my stitch worksheets.

Bettte I did not piece in a circle – the middle pattern piece was laid down first then the burgundy brocade (on the left) then above that the green silk then below to dusk pink brocade. Then the green in the bottom left corner and last the bone.

I've been studying the piecing on this block-in what order did you piece it? It looks like the beige piece i the upper right hand corner was last-but I can't figure out which piece was first-thanks
