For the love of Stitching sampler band 531

journal sampler detailThis area is part of section 36 on of the For Love of Stitching band sampler marked Australia Day 2009 and the Chinese New year. The previous area spilled over – hence the invasion of stitches from above.

Thread:

The thread used is wool

Fabric:

Hand dyed cotton found in a very old needlework kit and charity shop. It was horrid to use and I can see why it bacame a UFO of some poor woman. I purchased the half worked kit, cut out the fabric that looked usable and dyed it. The regretted doing it!

Date:

This section of the sampler was worked early 2009.

Size:

The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.
