This band is a further experiment with satin stitch and algerian eyelets worked as part of a contemporary Bargello or Florentine style pattern. I used hand dyed wool, cotton and silk to execute it.

  2. Just beautiful Sharon. What’s the foundation cloth you’ve used for this piece? I’m off for a week to the hills for peace and quiet, and might well have to have a go at Bargello style embroidery whilst I’m there! Cheers, Carole.
