The detail below is an area on section 50 on my Love of Stitching Band Sampler which was worked between March and May 2010. Needless to say Autumn starts in March in Australia
Fabric
The foundation fabric is a hand dyed 18 cnt Aida
Stitches Used
The word Autumn is worked in cross stitch using wool.
The band is Creten stitch worked in hand dyed silk and hand dyed cotton . I laced the stitches with a metallic cord a closer detail is below.
