This Crazy quilt detail is a combination of vintage buttons and a bow. The arrangement os over a lace background which has been secured along the edge with seed beads.
Placement on block:
On block 12 this seam that is under the bow runs along pieces 1,2 and 5 that but against piece 6
Type of lace
Piece 6 and 6 on block 13 both have a different lace overlay. It is lace that is about 30 years old but it is synthetic. Also along seam 6 another piece of lace is under the buttons and bow. It is wide, vintage nylon lace.
Buttons
All buttons are vintage, with the exception of a single button just under the bow
