On Monday when I asked I was pleasantly surprised to find out there are quite a few people who are interested in continuing with Work in Progress Wednesdays.
I think we can make WIP Wednesdays more inclusive of other types of stitching projects. The idea started out to encourage people to complete large and/or languishing projects but I think we can include things like UFO’s (UnFinished Objects) de-stashing or any stitching project you want to share. Going public and sharing does help people push themselves to complete a project or reach a stitching goal.
I want to stress that you do not have to have something finished to post just something done that week! Every week in which you want to participate you need to post photo of how you have progressed on a blog, or one of the free public photo sites like flickr.
The come back to Pintangle as each Wednesday there will be a Work in Progress Wednesday post on which you can leave a comment with a link to your site or photograph. This is so people can visit and see how you are going!
You can rotate projects, or just participate occasionally the idea is to share progress.
Any questions? Ask them in the comments and I will respond to them there.
Help spread the word
Please link to Pintangle, so that people hear about it. Help spread the word and others will join.
what I will do is if I have not managed to stitch that week (because I am working on a book) I will open a post so people can leave a comment and have visitors. That said I will try and share some stitching each week. I am sure there are some weeks I will not manage it but I figure, aim for the stars and I will hit the moon.
OK for this weeks progress – hang my head – the last time I reported on this block, was here, Block 38 of my lace quilt I had started it in August last year! Visit the post to see what it looked like then.
Progress has been made but only a little as I still have beads and buttons etc to add.
Anyway I hope to get it done for next Wednesday.
You will find all the other blocks in the Lace Quilt category

I’ve been following Queenie’s progress and decided I need a Wednesday post to keep myself going. I’ve picked up an old project – Dorothy Lesher’s Moon Dragon a few weeks ago and have posted about it the last three Wednesdays – http://hokkaidokudasai.blogspot.jp/2014/01/work-in-progress-wednesday-heads-or.html

I’ve been so devoted to WIPW that I’ve posted the last two weeks when there wasn’t a check-in post here!=) Here’s the link to my whole WIPW series so that anyone interested can check the latest three:

I agree with your sentiments, Sharon – shooting for the stars and being pleased if we make it to the moon. I don’t have something to report on every week, but WIPW has been so valuable to me thus far that I’m glad it’ll go on.
Nice to see your block again,I’m looking forward to see it with beads and buttons. I took the liberty to use some of your words on my blog to spread the word about Work In Progress Wednesday.
Not much progress this week on my fabric book:

Sharon, your block looks lovely now, so I’m sure the beads will make it even better.
I finished a couple more blocks for my “champagne on a beer budget” crazy quilt. here is a link to the first one

I’m not sure if the second one is done, but may wait until I lay out the blocks to see if it blends in.

So many projects, so little time.
Well I have done a little list of UFO’s so that I can organise my WIPW offerings.

Great Carolyn – lists are a good start
It is a long time since I saw your lacy blocks. I love the blue ‘pretzel’ lace!
Sharon, thank you for letting us continue to post here and share our progress. I am looking forward to seeing lots of other projects, too.
Here is my contribution:

Thanks Queenie!I must admit the block feels a little stale in my hands but beads will change that.
