Stitch 37 of Take a Stitch Tuesday

Triangular buttonhole stitch is a variety of Buttonhole and the next challenge for Take a Stitch Tuesday. If you are a beginner, before you attempt this variety familiarise yourself with basic buttonhole stitch first. See the Triangular buttonhole stitch tutorial on how to work it while you are there  take a look at the instructions on the same page on how to add beads to it. Triangular buttonhole is great for edgings or building up patterns. The shape of the stitch lends itself to stacking row upon row, yet like buttonhole it can be worked on a gentle curve.

How to join in on the TAST challenge and share stitch 37

If you are new to hand embroidery the challenge is to learn the stitches. If you are an experienced embroiderer push these stitches in creative manner and share with beginners what can be done with a little imagination.

Where to share

Stitch a sample, photograph it, put in online on your blog, flickr site, share it on facebook or where ever you hang out online, and leave a comment on the Triangular buttonhole stitch page with your full web address.     Hi Sharon, why am I getting two emails about the same stitch a day apart? It never used to happen. Not sure which one to unsubscribe from as I do not want to miss out all together. What have I done? Please advise.

      I have no idea why Louise – if it continues unsubscribe from one of them as I would say its a glitch of some sort
