3 more blocks arrive in the post

Busy morning today as yesterday I collected from the post office 3 more blocks for the All that Jazz Katrina Survivor Quilt project. So the scanner has been hot and Dreamweaver was fired up as I have just placed these blocks online in the Gallery for this project. Two more of the invitees blocks are online. A delightful block from Willa Fuller and an unusual block from Janet Stauffacher. Now of the invitees I am only waiting on Annie Whitsed’s block which I am sure I will have in my hands as soon as she comes back from her holidays. Since she is the chief assembler for this project she is well aware of the deadline.

Also Jacqui Mulcahy of all stitched up sent a block which was completed too late to be in the competition but she posted it to me nevertheless which is most appreciated as it will be included in the other quilt.

Well its a cool day today and the garden is in need of attention. So with a silly grin on my face I am pulling on my work boots and heading outside for some time scrubbling around in the dirt which is always good for the soul.

  1. Linda
well spotted – great link to file away for furture reference and much easier to do

Mary-frances- I didn’t mean to sound as if I was applying pressure. I am not. Annie and I get together once a week to stich so I know she is working on it and she is on holidays at the moment interstate so it was an indirect wave to her but it could be read wrong – so waving to Annie!

  2. Poor Annie! No stress there, eh? I LOVE the new blocks! What a fantastic modern portrayal of crazy quilting this quilt will be. Different styles and ways of seeing the same subject and with a wonderful cause! I can’t wait to see what kind of excitement it will generate!
