100 details for 100 days Day 18

Day 18
This was quite a cheap and nasty modern nylon lace which I interspaced novelty beads and half buttonhole wheels. It is quite a narrow lace so to add more visual weight to it I added straight stitches at the base and topped them off with French knots

Scooting around the blogs and flickr sites this morning I notice thar Ribbonwiz of Camille’s Place has posted details of her button cluster.

Debra of Design Studio has really let rip with the buttons and combined them with Rick Rack. You will find them all in her flickr album.

Rebecca of Hobbies and the military has some more of her details up.

Annie Whitsed of Annies Crazy World has a ribbon embellishments to show everyone.

Pam Kellogg of Kitty & Me Designs has loaded some blackwork designs and while you are there don’t miss her latest block.

For anyone just swinging by this series of posts are listed under 100 details for 100 days in this blog. Over on Flickr it is associated with the Crazyquilting Group and photos are tagged 100detailsin100days

  1. Debra I use procion dyes which can be used with cold water – I mix up a little dye and put them into small zip lock bags and leave them a few hours. With laces and braids I always make sure they are washed first incase there is any fabric sizing in them.

  2. I’m going to try changing some of my cheap and nasty trims this weekend. How do you dye just a little bit of trim?

Thanks for the nod to my flickr album. First block done! Thanks for your daily encouragement through the postings.
