Note Unfortunately Stitchin Fingers no longer exists as the site closed late 2016 so I have removed the links in this post
This area on Section 33 of the For Love of Stitching band sampler was stitched to mark Stitchin Fingers . The Forum had not been running long and we were to have a stitch along but it never really took off. I think this is because it was a much smaller group that today. Then there was only a few hundred members where as now we have well over 4000. I have found that unless there is a large group to get the energy going, and a very definite outline of stitches (like TAST) people are inclined to lose interest and drop away. The good news is that in my eyes the stitch along has morphed into the stitch junkies group which is actively stitching along!
Cross stitch, back stitch

Hand dyed tea towel linen
This section of the sampler was worked during July 2008.
The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.
