This section of sampler was worked in early January 2009 as part of the stitch explorer challenge I ran here on this blog. Section 34 of the For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is small section made up of two bands of Chicken Scratch. Band 512 an 513.
I am sharing the two details here as it seem silly to pace them out over the next week.
As you can see, each band is the same stitch but worked on either the light or dark squares.
Fabric:
Like all traditional chicken scratch the fabric is gingham.
Threads:
The thread I used was Cotton abroder
Date:
This section of sampler was worked in early January 2009.
Size:
The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.
