Beth Lea of Bluebell Wood is an historical embroiderer who has produced 3 detailed videos on the English version of Trellis stitch. this version  produces different a texture on both sides.

This series of highly instructive videos demonstrate how to produce a brick-like vertical pattern at the front and a zig-zag trellis pattern on the back.

  1. In this woman's defence it takes time and energy to provide a free resource to the online community and we each do our best. If a free resource is not up to your standard buy a book or buy a class.

  2. It's a lovely stitch, but heavens those 3 tutorials could have been better planned, better narrated, more clearly defined, and better photographed! Pity, because it's lovely work. I'm off to look for a straightforward diagram! 😉
