This band of stitching is similar to band 121 except it is created by working two lines of herringbone stitch
Thread:
The first row (yellow) is a perle thread #8 and the second orange row is a hand dyed mercerised cotton
Fabric:
This section of my sampler is worked on cream dress linen
Dye:
Procion cold water dyes for cotton thread.
Size:
All samples are 15 cm (6 inches) wide and stitched together in one long band sampler.
The sampler is currently 44 ft 5 inches or 533 inches (1353.83 centimetres) or 14.8 yards (13.53 metres) long and still being added to.
Date:
I started this sampler in 2004 and completed it early 2005.

Yes I can how surface enhancement would be a challenge with needlepoint
This one is great!! I just received a package of different weights of the Kreinik metallics, with different "finishes" – from low profile "gleam" to sparkle. I’m going to try out this effect, combining different threads along with the metallics in different thicknesses – should keep me busy for a while. Thanks! Surface enhancement on needlepoint is a challenge!
