Stitch:
This is variety of Interlaced double running stitch. For directions on how to stitch it illustrated in my stitch dictionary
Thread:
A hand dyed cotton (crochet thread) was used for the foundation running stitches
These were laced first with ribbon floss. Beads were added to fill in the spaces and add a little extra.
Signature
Band 5 is situated below the signature which is worked in stem stitch using hand dyed cotton (crochet thread)
Fabric:
This section of the sampler is a dress linen which is not quite an even weave, hand painted with procion cold water dyes.

Procion cold water dyes for the cotton threads
Size:
All samples are 15 cm (6 inches) wide and stitched together in one long band sampler.
