Here is a piece of philosophy I like. I am often asked if I ever sleep or how do I get so much done – the answer is a bit at time constantly. Sustaining a creative practice is a skill in itself and for me tools like keeping a journal is one of them. Micheal Nobbs is keeping a journal which reflects on the creative process and sustaining it.
” I’ve learnt that that little and often get things accomplished. Even little and infrequently can build up a body of work. A year ago I was struggling to paint. Painting big paintings that never got finished. Now I make small drawings I can finish in a day – even in a day I need to spend in bed. Now I make short entries in this blog instead of trying to write long essays and articles in my head that never find their way on to paper.”
