For the Love of Stitching Sampler – Band 20

Stitches: 

This band illustrates first a row of scroll stitch, second is a row of half buttonhole wheel stitch, and the last row is stem stitch.

Thread:

All stitches are worked in a hand dyed mercerised cotton which is the same weight and thickness as a DMC perle 8 thread. This thread was  hand dyed by me.

Fabric:

This section of the sampler is worked on tea towel linen which is not quite an even weave.

Dyes:

Procion cold water dyes for the cotton threads

Size:

All samples are 15 cm (6 inches) wide and stitched together in one long band sampler.

The sampler is currently 44 ft 5 inches or 533 inches (1353.83 centimetres) or 14.8 yards  (13.53 metres) long and still being added to.

Date:

This section of the sampler is dated 1996 – Jan 1998
