The on going item count list below represents the items documented to date in this series of articles. In other words I am using this series to check the count!

The Embellished Details on Crazy Quilt Block 91
This seam was first covered with this metallic lace. I then edged it in detached chain stitches arranged in sets of 3 along the seam.
This Cretan stitch is worked in cotton Perle #5 thread and I added sequins that are secured with seed beads in the spaces between the arms of the Cretan Stitches.
I first covered this seam with braid then added seed beads along the length of the braid. Along the edge of the braid I added sets of 3 straight stitches arranged in a fan I then topped these with seed beads.
The last detail is a cluster of buttons 1 of which is vintage as the dark blue one is old. The rest are modern buttons. These buttons sit beside a line of zig zag chain stitch that I worked in cotton perle #5 thread
If you are new to this site the I Dropped the Button Box Quilt is set with blocks that are arranged by colour in diagonal lines. My challenge was to have all the crazy quilt blocks reading properly while also pulling everything on the quilt from my stash!
This article is part of a series that offers a free block patterns from my crazy quilt called I dropped the button box while also documenting each block which are listed on the CQ details FAQ page. You can read more about the quilt there.
