This week many people enjoyed Cable Chain stitch as they had not tried it before. Once again I took far too long trying to decided what samples to feature. It is really difficult each week as many are so good. Follow some of the links in the comments, on week 25 as there is many more interesting interpretations and explorations of Cable Chain stitch to be seen.
Lakshmi of Hand Embroidery from Sadalas wrote a tutorial adapting what we call magic chain to cable chain
Annet over on Fat Quarter also wrote a tutorial Cable chain stitch: How to continue with a new thread
Lots of people used Cable Chain around the neck of a figure.
Over on Home Made By Me there is this interpretation.
Luiz Vaz of Embroiderland draped his model in a scarf.
This interpretation by Carolyne Foley delighted me. Particularly the Hair! Visit Carolyne Foley’s flickr stream for a larger view.
Chris Richards over on Ella’s Craft Creations worked a lovely disk again. Click through to see some great details.
I really enjoyed these jelly fish over on Claudia’s Blog
Finally I really enjoyed the freeform sample by Hopscotch over on A Creative’s eye view of life Click through to see some great details.
Hope you have enjoyed the featured samples this week.

Hi Sharon,
TAST has been most valuable and I keep returning to it as I work through the Sumptuous Surface Embroidery. The highlights help so much as to how stitches look in different fabric, designs, threads. Thank you for posting the photos.
