Had a wonderful Sunday. The weather has turned cold and fog lay on the lake this morning but we thought we would take a walk in Weston Park anyway
At first I saw this. Fortunately I had my little point and shoot camera.
Then noticed not far away were some friends
And even more friends … Actually mobs of kangaroos are quite common in Weston Park but I always get a kick out of seeing them
Jerry took this with his large digital SLR
…and this one of me. Do you think I should make it my new profile pic or do you think I look too mad.
Here another taken by Jerry of me
It was a lovely day. Sorry for the off topic self indulgence, but I thought readers in different countries would enjoy the pictures of the Kangaroos.
Just to keep it on topic, class invites to the class group have gone out to all people who have paid for the Sumptuous Surfaces class. If you have not received one yet and you are in the class check your spam folder. If it’s not there, contact me so I can make sure you have group access before the 10th.
i definitely think you should make that photo your profile photo! such a lovely smile has to be flashed on everyone.
Thought I responded before…
I like the new photo, think it would be nice to use as your profile.
It’s so cool to be able to go out and see kangaroos! I get to see squirrels — which are OK, but not as “exotic” (though we did have an opossum in our back yard when we lived in Virginia).
Thank you for sharing the photos of kangaroos. They look so cuddly. It’s also nice to see recent photos of yours. You look lovely and so does your smile. Best regards, Salmah.
Sharon, This is your blog and if you want to put pictures of roos or anything else, you go right ahead and do it girl. I have been reading your blog for a long time and miss hearing about Jerry and his adventures. You give so much of yourself to everyone, You are wonderful person.
I am signed up for tast and was keeping up, until I got sick about 6 weeks ago and had surgery two weeks ago. Right now I have all can do to keep up with looking at other ladies sewing on the net. When I am able I will be back to it.
I grew up in Oz but moved away 20 years ago. Seeing Kangaroos like that made me homesick, but happy. Thanks for posting it.
All lovely photos, many thanks for sharing them.
I’ve missed joining in with TAST for some weeks but as I’m feeling better hopefully I’ll catch up soon, Connie, UK
Thank you for sharing the photos. I’ve never seen kangaroos like that. I think the pics of you are great.
I lived on a property outside Canberra until I was 13 (and moved to Melbourne). Roos, wallabies and frill necked lizards were a feature of my childhood. It was so very special!
I think it’s a lovely photo! π
Sharon, we can see Kangaroos only at the zoo, so thank you so muxh for sharing these wonderful photos!
Yes, you should take that photo for your profile! You look surely not mad but happy, cute and absolutely natural ( hope to use the right word!).
I want to use this possibility to say thanks for all you do for the art of embroidery!
I’m looking forward to my first lesson with you!
Warm regards from Austria
Claudia
Crop the bottom photo to just you and use it. Love it!
I think the close-up shot of you is lovely, Sharon. You look very relaxed and natural.

I think you should use the pictures of you. It is great! *I* really appreciate the pictures!! I rarely see “natural” photos of kangaroos and we have a little on going “thing” for them here as we have a son named Joey π I know many people consider them pests, but I think they are adorable.
Lovely pictures dear.
You looks so cute in the Red dress with your pretty smile.
I had the opertunity to view your pets by this photos. Such a nice.

Beautiful photos Sharon- both you and the ‘roos. Love seeing photos of your beautiful country which I would love to visit someday..
Sharon, I absolutely love seeing your photos from Australia! As you know, I am a huge animal lover and we don’t have Kangaroos here in the US except at the zoo so it’s a huge treat for me to see them in your photos. They’re beautiful!
And yes, I do think you should use that photo for your Profile pic! You are so cute!!!!
I wanted to let you know that I updated the link to your blog in my side bar!
Hugs, Pam

It is so lovely to see your pictures – to see the kangaroos in their natural habitat – just delightful – thank you. And I really like the photographs of you too – you have a happy smile!!
Beautiful photos, Sharon! I hope I have a chance to meet you one day. I don’t think you look mad, you look pretty normal to me!
